Dragee (or dragee) is a type of confectionery that usually consists of a hard outer layer of sugar or chocolate surrounding a central core made of various ingredients of nuts, seeds, fruits, chocolate or other sweets.

The word “dragée” is taken from the French word “dragée,” which means “sugar-covered.”

Dragees are made with a process called “spin drying,” where the main ingredient is placed in a rotating pan, and layers of sugar, chocolate, or other layers are gradually built around it. This process may take several hours to complete, depending on the thickness and consistency of the layer required.

Dragees are often used as decorative elements in cake decorating and design, especially at weddings and special occasions. They are also delicious as a snack or dessert, and come in different sizes, shapes and flavours.
